Latest videos from Lowe

What to do when the visitors can’t visit? During lockdown, like many people, we spent our time learning some new skills and jazzing up the property. We expanded the market gardens, opened up the Lowe Cellar Door terrace, and David become a social media influencer (or so we like to tell him).

During these live videos, David touched on topics including organics, biodynamics, vineyards, and different wines styles – all while answering questions and telling bad jokes. You can enjoy some of these videos below, or find them on our socials.

Written & performed by Phillip Aughey of Anvil Creek Theatre, the play ‘Chopin’s last tour’ is a story about the life of Polish composer and Romantic era pianist, Chopin, presented through his music. Featuring live piano compositions, the pieces represent different sections of his life and are intertwined with an emotional display of his feelings and relationships.

‘It’s 1848. Chopin is in Scotland. There are revolutions in Europe. His father has died. His relationship with George Sand is over. His health is failing rapidly. He has to give a recital.’

Enjoy this evening of insight into who Chopin was and the life he led, combined with a fantastic display of the music he created throughout it all. The production has been performed over 70 times across Edinburgh, Adelaide, Newcastle, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, with outstanding reviews.

Brought to you in a complimentary evening by Lowe Family Wine Co, the one hour seated production will be held in The Pavilion at Lowe. Food and wine will be available at Lowe Cellar Door & Food Store before and during the event.
