    Description

    Our Block 5 Shiraz is Mudgee ‘terroir’ jam packed into 750mls. A solid and substantial red beauty, very dark in colour with a slight purple hue and thick when you swirl it. Flavours are of mocha, red berry and buckets of oak for now, but that will soak in. Made up of organic & biodynamic fruit from Tinja, fermented in open concrete fermenters with some stems, which adds tannin and a twist of spice, then stored in new oak for 2 years. The wine is extremely youthful, think at least 20 years to its peak, but it drinks very well now. In style, quality and popularity, this is fast becoming on par with our Zinfandel as an icon wine.
