Regional dining at it’s best

The modern farmhouse restaurant takes in sweeping views of the certified organic & biodynamic Tinja property, nestled among classic Mudgee hillscapes and Lowe vineyards.


The extensive kitchen gardens, orchards and grazing farmland welcome you on arrival and form the basis of the experience at Zin House. What we don’t grow ourselves we source from our neighbours and producers across the region.


The dining experience is designed to reflect things we hold dear – taking time over good food and wine with those we care about, service that is warm and personable but not obtrusive, comforts with a little luxury and never ever having a time limit on your table.

Dining Experience

The Zin House Long Lunch

Seasonal, local, slow. Settle into Zin for our set-menu long lunch, with time to wander the extensive food gardens and meet our chefs, you’ll feel right at home.


The food and courses are plentiful; five full courses flowing across hours, plated sharing style to enjoy amongst good company and showcasing seasonal produce grown in our gardens. Prepared by Jackie Jacutin, Jim Wilson & The Zin Team, the food continues Kim Currie‘s guiding principles of authenticity, generosity and quality – balanced with a refined and technique driven approach.


The (optional) matched wines, selected by David Lowe, take things up another notch. Paired with the flavours of each course, wines include those from Lowe’s museum stock, as well as our favourite producers across Mudgee, Orange and in between.


Numbers are limited but time is not, we don’t turn tables and recommend you allow a minimum of three hours to dine with us.

We’re open for lunch Thursday through Monday from 12pm. We welcome you to arrive beforehand to stroll through the gardens, enjoy a glass outside as you soak in the views, or take the time to do so between courses.


Five courses are $145 pp.
Matched wines are $85pp (optional).

The menu at Zin always starts with what we grow, as it is the garden that inspires what we cook, and when.


Zin’s kitchen team works hand in hand with our gardeners to develop and prepare food that is not only delicious, but reflects the whole cycle – what we grow, how we grow it and the impact it has.


The set menu, with shared style dishes, allow us to curate this food journey at its best, which is why it’s what we do solely.


The courses are then matched with wines that lift the whole experience. Taking into account each of the delicate flavours, David’s wine matches come tempered by decades of experience.

Booking FAQ, Terms & Conditions

Booking prepayments

All bookings require a full prepayment of the total food amount to confirm the booking. This payment will be taken at the time of booking online, or requested one month out from the date when booking alternatively.

Dietary requirements

We cook from scratch with mostly our own organic produce and happily cater for individual needs that are dietarily related. Please inform us of any dietary requirements or allergies at the time of booking for the entire booking group.

Can’t or don’t drink?

All beverages and wine flights are optional. Our wine list always features a range of non-alcoholic beverages to choose from, and sparkling water is on tap.

Seating arrangements

Zin House seats approx 40 people and we do not turn tables. You’ll be sure to have adequate spacing and time to enjoy your experience in comfort. The modern farmhouse layout features a mix of smaller and larger tables, including a number of private dining rooms off the main area, please inform us if you would specifically like one of these.

Public holidays

A 10% surcharge applies on public holidays unless stated otherwise.

Changes & cancellations

Please contact us as soon as possible with any changes in numbers or cancellations. We understand that sometimes circumstances beyond your control can require changes to your booking so any variation to the below policy will be made at the discretion of the Zin Team. Where the rebooking of your table is possible you will not be charged.


Cancellations made a month or more out will receive a full refund. Cancellations made between 14 – 30 days from your booking may be charged a 20% administration fee and the balance refunded. Cancellations made between 7 – 14 days from your booking may forfeit 50% of the booking amount. Cancellations made within 7 days of your booking may forfeit the entire booking amount.


*Please note: In the case Zin House is forced to close due to government Covid restrictions or travel is prohibited, all booking payments will be refunded.


Children are very welcome. The menu is the same for children as adults. When booking please specify how many of your guests are children. Children under 5 years are free, 5 – 12 years are half price, over 12 years are full price.

Large group bookings

We have a private room that can seat up to 12 people and is available on request. Please confirm numbers with your guests as all bookings are required to pay the full food amount at the time of booking. If we are not given notice of changes in numbers, the final numbers given at confirmation will be charged.
