Regional dining at it’s best

The Zin House restaurant, overlooking the organic & biodynamic Lowe vineyard and farm, is open for lunch Thursday to Monday, and for dinner Friday & Saturday.

Seasonal, local, slow. Feel at home in the modern farmhouse with our set menu regional dining experience; heroing home & local grown produce, with time to wander the extensive food gardens, meet our chefs, and soak in the views from the open-air hearth.

Numbers are limited but time is not, we don’t turn tables and recommend you allow at least three hours to dine with us. It is these details that have found The Zin House awarded One Hat in the SMH Good Food Guide Awards annually since 2015.

Our dining experiences

Our six-course, set menu is plated sharing style, best enjoyed over several hours with good company. The menu starts with what is growing in our gardens, accompanied by local produce from our friends & neighbours.

For the months of April & May, Ex-Printhie Head Chef, Jack Brown, is joining us at Zin for a two-month residency. Jack’s focus will be celebrating native ingredients from Tinja Farm whilst embracing Kim Currie‘s ‘cook simply, cook local’ ethos. Working closely with Nathan Lovett of Naway Yila Buradja, this partnership will integrate diverse, native flavours into our menu and allow Jack to tell stories through his cooking as a First Nations chef.

Food $155 pp | matched wines (optional) $95pp

Long Lunch at Zin

From 12pm | Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon

Wander the gardens between courses, lounge with a glass outside and soak up the ambiance of the open-kitchen dining room. Views are a given from every angle. The days six-course menu will be delivered at your leisure, best paired with matched wines or your choice of drink.

For those dining with us on weekdays (Thu, Fri, Mon) we welcome you to join our complimentary guided garden walk at 11.40am with our garden team to learn more about how we cultivate the food from ground to plate.

Zin Evening Dining

From 6pm | Fri, Sat

Stroll through the garden paths on arrival, catch the views with a glass in hand and watch the sun set behind the hills before taking to your seat amongst the welcoming dining room. Just like lunch, the menu will flow with six full courses served at a relaxed pace with your choice of drink.

For these summer months, we welcome our Saturday Zin dinner guests to join us for a sunset cocktail from 5 – 6pm to make the most of the views from the outdoor hearth with a housemade cocktail or drink. Friday dinners are closed Jan-Feb as we host Harvest Bar at Lowe (see bookings below for details).

The food & the wine

The menu at Zin always starts with what we grow, as it is the garden that inspires what we cook, and when.

Our kitchen & garden teams work hand in hand to develop a seasonal menu that reflects the whole cycle – what we grow, how we grow it and the impact it has. Reflecting our favourite way to eat, this produce is then prepared across six full courses, plated sharing style (we do not do à la carte).

To compliment the flavours of each course, these dishes are then paired with optional matched wines by David Lowe to round out the whole experience.

Both these pairings, and our wine list as a whole, celebrate small Australian producers dedicated to organics & biodynamic, just as we are here at Lowe, as well as our friends & neighbours who honour the quality of this local region.

Our menu changes regularly with season & availability, note the following is an example only.
